This takes place on the lead up to Episode I, before the jedi know about the return of the sith. We see Maul struggle with his eagerness to confront the jedi and wanting to do something despite Sidious telling him to chill basically. Cool art, cool story. It combines 5 issues and is a self contained story.

I read the 'Darth Plagueis' novel over a year ago which introduces Darth Maul to the Star Wars Universe and explains how Palpatine acquired him in the first place. This comic follows on nicely, if unintentionally, from that novel as Maul eagerly hunts down a Jedi in order to get his first big kill. It also adds more context to the character leading into The Phantom Menace.

This is pretty much exactly what someone would want from a Darth Maul comic, a fun violent romp in the Star Wars universe.

Set before the events of Phantom Menace, this graphic novel is a great read for anyone who needs an extra dose of Star Wars especially for fans of the Clone Wars TV show as there are some memorable appearances from a variety of characters.

Filling a void

So happy to have gotten to dig into a character we knew so little about. Darth Mail definitely deserved more attention. The hate in him, how was built? We have a tiny lead in it.

Qué sorpresa más positiva encontrar aquí a Maul y a un viejo conocido (¡primer encuentro!). Muy interesante todo el tema de los sith, desde otro punto de vista.
