I really enjoyed reading through these little blips of Fiona & Jane’s lives, the ebbs and flows of their friendship over many years. I didn’t like that some of the stories seemed to be out of chronological order. Also, I sometimes could not understand Jane’s actions.

Did not read all the content warnings. Too much alcohol. Thought the plot would be different.

I thought I was gonna really like this but it wasn't what it promised to be. I was under the impression it'd be about 2 FMC's friendship, and how the characters impacted each other. It focused more on the characters themselves, and the relationships the characters were in. I did like the style though where it was disorganized short stories and remarks of events because it reminded me of real life and memories. I really liked the character development too.

I loved the characters in this book, and the writing style had me captivated, but unfortunately it was just too rushed. The timeline was confusing sometimes and I couldn’t tell what had happened to get us to the point we were at, not enough was explained. Also sometimes there was too much focus on things that were never brought up again, rather than the actual friendship of Jane and Fiona. I would’ve loved if there was more time with them together, dealing with things, and more about their friendship as a whole, as well as more explanations of certain plot points.

I enjoy literary fiction but find it kinda difficult to talk about. Some parts of this really hit, but as is often the case with these kind of stories I wish subjects were given more depth.
