It was a refreshing read. Loved the funny bits and also the songs! There's a lot of emphasis and detail and put into world-building, which is impressive, but I wish the main dwarves had better characterization. Would've loved to know more about their personalities and the sort. Then again, since it's a children's book, it's understandable.

Still a good read. I definitely recommend!

Fantastic book!

This has been such a heartwarming read of adventure, friendships, courage and so much more. No doubt the book has stood the test of time and made its place at top of the fanatsy genre and is enjoyed by readers to this day.

I remember reading an extract from the book in middle school so now a few years later when I have finally picked up the book, I was hit with nostalgia. The book has become a favourite of mine and I will definitely look back on Bilbo Baggins and his adventurers for comfort and courage.

Tolkien's writing is simple yet beautiful in its own way. He is able to write a such a good story, it was humorous, adventurous and didn't disappoint at all.

If you haven't read the book, you should definitely give it a try. I think everyone can find something that resembles them in this beautiful tale.
