This book was fun and quirky. It has a bit of a slow start but things definitely get interesting as the story progresses. I’m excited to see where this goes!
This is really a review for the first three books in the series.
I liked the main character's voice a lot -- she's fun! Her passivity drove me crazy, though. Almost all of the action scenes were infuriating because she was so useless; after a while, I just skimmed through them so I wouldn't get so mad.
Also, I didn't like that the "twists" were so obvious (I'm usually very oblivious to twists) and that I had to wait so long for the main character to figure them out. For instance,the fact that Okot was mind controlled, that she should use her cupid powers to help Viessa, that Balen should become a cupid so Lex could be happy (what the heck, Emelle didn't even do that herself -- she's the boss!) -- ARGH.

A little slow going at first but funny and cute
The slow burn is real but I mean come on how can I pass up a cupid and some fae? It would be a crime! Plus our female main character's inner monologue is to die for. It's the rambling of my soul. I adore her. I love the wit and humor that is thrown into this one. I also love that it was fairly short. However, it did still throw a whole lot of world building at me in that time and that was a bit boring not going to lie. Overall, I really look forward to finding out how this plays out I've been hooked on the story and I'll have to keep going.
I went into this not sure what to expect with a Cupid book and I fell in love with the story and the characters!! I want my own covey of genfins please 😍 I couldn’t put this book down and now I need to go read book two as well as order myself shelf trophies 😆 I laughed so many times with the sassy comebacks and flirty humor between them all. A perfect book to start off February with!!!
