funny lighthearted fast-paced

A very different fantasy world than what I'm used to, and I loved it!

The playful banter between Emelle and her genfin men is effortless.

Emelle's internal monologues were absolutely comical!

Such a cute book and I'm going to devour the rest of the series now!

DID NOT FINISH: 8%

It just didn’t suck me in. I might not be in the right head space for something silly and stupid (not a knock on the book. It’s meant to be frivolous)

3.5

I didn’t like it at first. A story about Cupid just seemed so childish but I was soon laughing and enjoying the characters. Really good in the end and I’m already reading the next one.

ESTO ES LO QUE QUERÍA GENTE
fast-paced

Oh wow, this was such a fun read! Emelle is absolutely hilarious—she had me laughing out loud more than once. Her quick wit and banter are incredibly entertaining. I picked this up after finishing Plated Prisoner, and it was the perfect follow-up: well-written, lighter in tone, but just as engaging. Can’t wait for book 2.
