Oh, how I wanted to love Noni Blake!
I liked seeing Noni try new things, take chances, push beyond her comfort zone. This book showed that sometimes you need to learn the same lesson again and again before it sticks.
But, I was often frustrated by Noni's choices and how she treated others. She didn't seem to fully see the people in her life (especially her best friend?!) and how her actions would impact them. Also, there wasn't much acknowledgement of how privileged Noni was to be able to travel halfway around the world for a Pleasure Quest. Lastly, for a story about finding herself, Noni did a lot of finding other people. And while some of the people she meets are wonderful and become part of her life, she didn't actually spend much time with herself. I feel like I wanted this book to be something it wasn't, alas!

This book talks about a lot of serious topics that i enjoyed seeing represented, including body image/ fatphobia/ miscarriage/ IVF. There is queer rep, with the main character being attracted to multiple genders (no label given), and supporting characters also on the rainbow - however, sexuality isn't a topic.
This is a story about a steamy fling turned romantic relationship, with loads of conversations about what self-love is and how to practice it - if that's your thing, read this book! There's plenty of deep moments (see topics above), accompanied by a bunch of loveable characters and a handful of antagonists. Throughout the book, Noni figures out what her life could be and what life she really wants to live

As Europe-exploration was the big pull-in for me, the lack of travel really impacted my enjoyment of it. This is no fault of the book, it just made the book not for me.

It frustrated me that so much of Noni's quest for pleasure and self-acceptance seemed to revolve around getting drunk and having sex with random strangers (even when she didn't especially want to). This one missed the mark for me.
