The fast paced storyline of this romantic suspense had my adrenaline kicked into overdrive from beginning to end. It had the perfect amount of anxious uncertainty laced with incredible chemistry and an undeniable connection. This story is part of an interconnected series, but I listened to it as a standalone. I love how even though some of the characters overlap I didn’t feel like I was missing out, but now that I’m addicted I need to dive into the rest of the Protection series.
This was a successful collaboration between Kennedy L. Mitchell, Neva Nevarre, and Teddy Hamilton. These talented narrators did an incredible job of bringing Kennedy’s heart racing tale to life.

This book was so good! I loved Remy and Tallon’s story. Tallon is an FBI agent and Remy is the target of a serial killer. This book was dark and twisty with plenty of steam. This might just be my favorite of the series!

This is my first Kennedy Mitchell book and boy was it a great ride. The beginning felt like it took more time than needed to get started but once the story was laid out it picked up and was a fast-paced story of love, a unique and special friendship between two male friends, a mother protecting her son at all costs, chemistry that could not be denied and a tense suspenseful edge of your seat serial killer story with just the right amount of steamy love scenes and FBI criminal content. I was already a huge lover of romantic suspense and forced proximity, but have never read or listened to an audiobook with MFM scenes, until now and whoa kitten I have found my newest favorite romance kink to add to my list of favorites.
Neva Nevarre did an amazing job portraying the tiny spitfire that is Remington, yet also displaying the fear and anxiety she feels with her emotionally charged past that she is desperate to kept hidden. Having left her a past behind so that no one could find her she keeps herself in shape, and learned self-defense to protect herself. [Insert scenes where she tasered and kneed Tallon and Jameson in their privates on two separate occasions while protecting herself from what she accidently perceived as “stranger danger.” Those scenes definitely had me laughing out loud.]
Let’s not forget Teddy Hamilton and his amazing performance. He did not disappoint one tiny bit. This is the first audiobook I have listened to where he portrayed a possessive, always in control Alpha male in and outside of the bedroom. His vocal talents help to easily distinguish Jameson from Tallon regardless of them being in multiple scenes together with Remi.
This is book 6 in the Protection series but you do not have to have read the prior books to pick this one up. I am however greatly intrigued the other backstories and definitely will be adding the earlier books to my TBR list. I was sent a free audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review in my own words.

This story is pure fire. If you're looking for a very steamy romance with a lot of plots and more suspenseful moments, this one is for you.

Their interaction and chemistry was definitely off the charts and if you enjoy your reads with a strong heroine, protective heroes and lots of steam building up, read this one.

I was so excited for Tallon's book. I needed that backstory of Tallon, Remy and Jameson. I loved the banter between the three of them after they got used to each other again. I loved the back and forth between Tallon and Jameson, even after years they found their friendship again. I really felt for Tallon and his anxious mind and how it works. My mind runs like his, and as an extremely anxious person, I probably shouldn't read books like this. But I devour them. I can't wait for Jameson's book!
