Exceptional and extreme.

Fair warning: I'm a born and raised (southeast) Houstonian with strong feelings towards the lit scene of my city. And Bryan Washington is the real deal. He's capture the core of this city, the fibers that connect the center to all of our experiences from the many corners of Houston. Washington is bold and direct in his stories, and they in turn enliven the stories around it.

Could be considered a quick read, but my advice: read this like a true Houstonian. Slow down. Absorb everything. Trust your senses.
