Not sure what dark place this book is taking me, but it is well written and intriguing.
Serial killers and killers and mental illness- what a mix and its not for everyone.
Not really for me either but she writes a compelling story.

When looking at the the plot of this book, you have to start out with an open mind. This book is the second book I have read in my reading obsession. It starts out with Stella, who works at a newspaper type company. She has an obsession with researching about what she calls, "her angel maker", a.k.a the town's serial killer. She then meets two men, first starting with a famous chef, Edward, and then meeting the town's police officer, Lincoln. They had met by Stella going to a bar with her coworkers, ending with her meeting Edward, who immediately she it off with. He ended up taking her to his house and while she was having intercourse with him, Lincoln comes in with another girl, doing things with her in the other room, later entering the room Stella and Edward were in. Lincoln was furious and was having a talk with Edward outside, so Stella left the bedroom and was astonished by the girl's dead body left in the room. She ends up developing a kink for that and the story goes on, leading to her finding out they are serial killers. They then on keep her close so she does not report them, but, they all end up following in love with each other.

Whole for my review, this book actually was quite the eye opener for me. I had never really read dark, dark romance and this was the first that opened my horizon to the dark romance genre. I originally had this book at four stars, but as I continued reading the series, I got quickly bored with the plot, leaving this book down to a three point five. I did enjoy the charecters and their development but it felt empty with Stella's charecters, she was definitely the basic y/n type girl which is a huge book turn-off for me. But I did enjoy the plot, again, it wasn't bad, I just didn't necessarily love it.

As an avid fan of true crime fiction, I had an inkling that I would enjoy this book. OMG, this book was so amazing, so sexy and so damn different from any other reverse harem I have ever read. It's really dark, so if that's not your thing, dont go there. But if it is your thing, you have got to read this!!

Did I mind being a fly on the wall, even in my own life? Not really, but I didn’t have the energy or the know-how to stand on my own. Living with Callie, being a journalist and a blogger—it was different than actually living. What I was doing, it wasn’t living. It was barely scraping by—but it’s okay, because I never thought I’d be one of those people who lived until they were eighty or ninety. Not saying I wanted to die young, but…

This particular MC is someone I can get behind. Most mentally unstable characters are take-it-or-leave-it for me but I was completely in for Stella. She's broken and twisted and had me enraptured. The multiple POVs helped to tell a good story and we are only just starting. I usually will wait to write a review until I have completed a series but this lover of serial killers hooked me too well. Can't wait jump into the next and resolve this cliffhanger.

DNF.
I couldn’t get into it. The main female character was too odd, too unreal for me. Borderline ridiculous.
I wanted to skip to the gore but I’m just not invested enough.

This book was insane. I was expecting one of the plot twists, but the one about the grass WTF. i’m absolutely flabbergasted, i have genuinely no words to explain how shocking it was.

Holy F***

Wow!!!!
So I’m OBSESSED with serial killers! Like I decided when I was 12 years old that I wanted to be a psychologist or social worker to study and work with them. I did become a social worker but I work with kids. Still obsessed with serial killers. I watch every documentary I can and listen to podcasts and everything so I freaking love that the heroine is just as obsessed as me. Her men are hot af and they sound like the perfect serial killers. I totally saw the twist coming but not until the end so that was a good job! Can’t wait to read the next book. Not sure if I’m reading for more sex or more killing. It’s an even tie!
