The majority of this volume was the fight between Luffy and Don Krieg - good lord, that took a while. I sometimes have a hard time deciphering what's going on in the fight scene panels, but I just move on and the action becomes clear by the next layout. Other than that, OMG!!! Nami is really a pirate!!!!

Uncomfortably racist cover story didn’t set up this volume especially well, but mostly I’m still enjoying myself. The fight with Krieg is as well drawn as all the previous fights have been, but it was starting to get a little too drawn out, and I was quite relieved to be done with it. I’ve been told Arlong Park is where most people start to really get invested in One Piece, so I’m excited to see more of this next arc.
