this is the first time i've read a book and didn't know what to feel about its characters idk whether i should hate them or like them. they're all bad, unhinged and unlikable but at the same time i can't help but feel sorry and sad for them.

How anyone could ever think of Heathcliff as a romantic hero I will never know. This book is about as romantic as bloody Lolita.

I couldn't get into it. Don't know if it has just not aged well, but It ain't for me. I had to watch the movie in the middle of reading just to understand what was going on.
