Several of the selections were not mysteries at all but simply violent crime short stories. I am still trying to figure out what the mystery was in the mafia hit man killing of a younger hit man. Nothing to solve or figure out just a lot of killing. I was extremely disappointed by the violence rather than the crafting of a mystery in many of the pieces.

I'll be honest, I didn't read all the stories. The ones I read were ... meh. I don't understand the "mystery" categorization for most of them.
