a bit spicier than the previous- not as suspenseful.
Could guess the twist from very early on- but the twist was even more loose than expected- fairytale ending

This one is more for me than the first from the series. I really liked it. Attempt for slow burn which I really appreciate.
Againe both povs.

it was fine, just got bored of it

i said in my review of the first book that the princess x bodyguard trope was going to be KILLER, and i ate it up. the only version of the trope that i'll read is if it's dark romance OR it has a lot of drama, and this story had a LOT. OF. DRAMA. i mean, there were plot twists until the VERY END. i would go back and read it again if i didn't have a tbr list longer than the years i've been alive.

boring. unnecessarily long. bland characters , hard to care about them . Bridget is annoying. Ana's writing is always basic but I still enjoy the simplicity of her books but I actually didn't finish this one.

I don't know who is gaslighting themselves into thinking that this isn't the best book in the series, but please seek help.
fast-paced

Soo good
