This book was okay. Not great. Had to wait a good portion of the book for things to get spicy. The jist of the book being that Bridget finds out she is going to become queen, but can't marry her bodyguard, Rhys, because he isn't a royal. Well, surprise, he is. And they get married. The end.

I have so many thoughts about Twisted Games. I liked the first book well enough to want to read the second, and I am SO GLAD I did. I loved this book. It is as if The Selection series and 50 Shades of Grey had a baby. The plot is SO GOOD and there are so many twists I did not see coming, which is rare for me. This has a small tad of fantasy written in, and I ate it up. Princess and her bodyguard??? I think yes.

3.45, I love the concept and them together as well as the writing but the end felt unnatural for them and the twists were kind of predictable

NOW we're getting somewhere! I liked this one more than the first. I felt like I got that deeper connection that I just wasn't quite getting in the first book. Plus, I really enjoyed all the court politics and that the3rd act breakup wasn't as devastating as the first book's . The romance in this felt more genuine and I just liked the duo dynamic in this as a whole. We also got to know more of the side characters a little bit more, which I was hoping for; BUT still not as much as I wanted to. I feel like I'm really missing insight into the female friendships in these books, I want to see the friend group of women interacting some more! I'm going to have to wait for the next 2 books until I can get them through my library but I'll be listening to them as soon as I can!
