Finished this one out on the boat on the Fourth, reading in the sunshine as Andy rowed around. I have found it to be illuminating, heartening, entertaining, and hopeful--all good characteristics for a book about "Heaven, Hell, and the fate of every person who has ever lived." Bell writes zippily and clearly--a bit like Anne Lamott with fewer swears. His message, however, is one our current (my current?) religious discourse needs to hear: LOVE WINS.

I'd highly recommend this book as a thought-provoking choice for a book group or an individual.

I couldn't get past the first chapter. The writing style was too distracting.

I always, always enjoy reading Rob's work - he is able to articulate and break down spiritual concepts succinctly. One of my favorite quotes from the book is "Hell is our refusal to trust God's retelling of our story".

Short book. It's easy to read though not as in depth as I would have liked. Makes a great sermon or speech rather than book.

I honestly just don’t know. I think I would have to listen to this like 10 times to understand the nuances of what he’s saying. If I understand him correctly he had orthodox positions, but communicate them in a very unorthodox manner.

This book was pretty good, even for an atheist.

Love Wins is worth reading to help understand a "different" view of heaven and hell in the Christian faith rather than the traditional understanding. Bell writes in a format and style that is very easy to read for those who do not normally condense themselves in theology or philosophy, without degrading the content as a result. --Ryan P.
