really liked a fiction book that addresses death so gently yet head-on. only 3 stars bc the writing was just ok, a tad preachy. but conceptually I was down. reminded me of eleanor oliphant is completely fine.

I appreciated the message and the unique premise but the main character just really annoyed me and the dialogue wasn't at all believable, in my opinion!

This book hits of the feelings of grief so well while also acknowledging the importance of living after grief. I lost my dad unexpectedly almost a year ago and this book was exactly what I needed. Here are the quotes the resonated with me.

“ Your grief is yours to process in your own time, in whatever way works for you. No one can tell you how to do that. But, if you do ever feel like talking about it, I’d be happy to listen.”

If you are experiencing grief or complex emotions this is a beautiful read.
