“The truth is, grief never really goes away. Someone told me once that it's like a bag that you always carry—it starts out as large as a suitcase, and as the years go by, it might reduce to the size of a purse, but you carry it forever.”

i can’t believe this is a debut novel?! it’s just so good! there were so many lessons i learned, and some lines hit me straight in the heart. the collected regrets of clover shows that while grief might be summed up in a simple sentence, we all feel and cope with it differently.

This had a slower start but was worth it in the end. Any book that can make me cry is an almost guaranteed 5 stars. This story is inspiring and beautifully written.

As someone who is naturally introverted and can relate to Clover’s inner mind, I was really awed at her journey. I instantly loved Claudia as she reminds me of my beloved Aunt Dawn.

Both heartbreaking and heartwarming, this one will capture your soul.
