I know this book came out a couple of years ago, but a glowing review just popped up on a friend's feed, and it was one of those good timing things.

📖 Clover is a death doula. (Yes, you read that correctly.) She helps usher her clients through their end-of-life process. While she collects their advice, regrets, and  confessions, she doesn't necessarily take their advise to live her life to the fullest. It seems the stars align when Clover meets her newest client, Claudia, and she starts reconsidering her loner ways.

🤝: This may be a good fit if you enjoy:
- unique concepts
- heartwarming, reflective stories
- adventurous characters

💭: I'm normally a thriller reader, but lately I've been on a contemporary fiction kick. I really enjoyed being in Clover's world. I understood her introverted ways while also seeking adventure and connection. This book was was emotional, bittersweet, and tender. I love when stories encourage me to think about my own reactions and experiences, and this does exactly that.

Rating: I really liked it! (4.5)

Okay, I REALLY enjoyed the message of this books and overall I have minimal criticism.
BUT after a few hours of reflection since finishing, I’m still disappointed at the lack of justice given to Leo and Clover’s relationship after he passed. His death felt like an afterthought when I found him to be one of the most important figures in Clover’s life, especially since the passing of her grandpa.

3.75⭐ Went into this completely blind and oh my god, that ending???
