Two words: unrealistic & messy

Happen to be reading Gone Girl and this at the same time and I am ultimately getting them confused due to how similar they are. Is this book just a rip off for the aspects of a terrible marriage with a successful wife and a writer husband? Outside of that, I did enjoy this book and I couldn’t stop reading/listening to it, so it was definitely attention grabbing. I was wrong on who I thought the person in question was but I can see how it was written to keep you guessing. I would give it 4 stars if it felt a bit more unique but it kind of just feels like every other thriller murder book.

Couldn't stand the MMC. Also I really don't need all the detail about every little thing they do. Like in chapter one I don't need a play by play of the trash can moment. Snooze fest.

Was terrible. I do not understand why this trash has high praise.

An absolute batshit crazy thriller about a meathead dude bro called Adam, who thinks he’s Hunter S Thompson and his cold, petty wife. A LOT of fucks in this book - both kinds - to the point it became silly. But it’s all quickly wrapped up in the end and explained in a not particularly satisfying way.

Twisty fun holiday trash

I kind of saw the ending coming, but still a good twist!

Although I did guess the twist for this one, it was enjoyable but nothing special, definitely a solid beginner thriller.
