I don’t know how you manage to make the most fun and scandalous topic—the president dating!—into the most boring romance novel ever, but this author managed it! No depth to these characters, nothing but bland niceness, no complexity to the plot, and so little attention paid to what we’re all here for—the machinations of sneaking around with the leader of the free world!

This is the last time I ever take book recs from my fave Instagram influencer, no matter how juicy they sound. 😞

Ha! This was a fun, quick read while on the plane home from Cairo. It was definitely a SuperCat The American President fanfic, lol. But that made me glad bc I could use it in my prompt for book based off of a movie!

I must say I had trouble with the audiobook version. it took me a long time to finish it. Nevertheless the story was good, not amazing but solid.
Always great to read wlw books with people in a power position.

Easy pick

Very nice story, with little friction and a lot of chemistry between MC, but with a health dose of drama, with it being in a political environment. And there was many great side characters.

I'm not the biggest fan of books involving politics, especially the American scene, because I get very worked up with all the injustices of this kind of world. But I still pick them over every now and then and hope they'll be at least as good like this one.

I truly hope we'll meet them again

I wanted something from this book that it just could not deliver. There was no chemistry, no heat. I keep pushing through hoping. It was two smart, friendly women who seemed to coexist agreeably in the same plane like cozy former roommates.
