This final book in the Green Bone Saga is quite the feather in the cap. It takes place across multiple decades, showing our characters age and come into their fates, making choices that put them at odds with each other, showing long time plans come to fruition and falter. I particularly like how this final instalment shows the begrudging respect between rival clan members and how military industrial complex and international governments impact Kekon. I can’t recommend this series enough

A stunning end to this saga. This book covers 20 years worth of time in the Kaul family life as they continue their struggle against the Mountain. Whereas I felt the second book sort of meandered at times, this one felt so on point. At no point did I feel like anything could or should have been cut, and if anything I would have loved to see more (especially of Anden and Niko), which is an amazing accomplishment in a book that is over 700 pages long. I loved revisiting the themes of the cost of revenge and what it means to be trapped in a world of expectations set by your family and culture when you don't fit in. I think it's a stunning end to one of the best fantasy trilogies I've read in a long time.

This was a great last ending to the series. You get to see the clan war and the characters evolve over 20 years. It's weird to see the characters growing older. I really enjoyed the end with:
the hopeful note at the end with the new Pillars agreeing to put to blood feud behind them.
. Overall, this was a great series and a great way to end the series. It's just that something is missing from this series for me to bump it up to 5 stars. Still a totally worthwhile read though.

Truly an epic. A fitting ending to the trilogy. Fonda Lee has done a masterful job bringing readers on this journey and wraps everything up here in a way that feels true to the story.
