This is a fantasy infused gang families rivalry epic. There is Jade withdrawal and overexposure in this fantasy series that’s depicted very much like drug detoxification. There is abundant violence with varying motivations and levels which include varying levels of abuse. Various societal prejudices also exist at points in the decades depicted across this final novel. I’m sure I probably forgot some things but be aware there are extreme swings regarding content. Be aware, that’s all.praaliine's review

after letting my thoughts stew for weeks i’m finally ready to review this properly. well, as properly as i can articulate myself right now because i wanna cry just remembering this book. this was wildly immersive and and unexpected new favourite of mine. the beginning of the series was pretty good but there were a lot of parts that i had to really power through, but from jade war, the payoff starts almost immediately. and then this. this saga was incredibly masterful, like i had to just sit back and really look over the whole picture and oh my gosh, wow. the overarching plot was a movie, every end was so neatly tied up throughout that it left no room for plot holes or confusion. this story had not only social and political intrigue but history and lore about Kekon, jade, and green bone warriors. the world building…oh my gosh, THE WORLD BUILDING. even minuscule details like the names of car models were so well thought out.
Graphic: Violence, Blood, Cursing, Gun violence, Death, Injury/Injury detail, Murder, Death of parent, and Grief
Moderate: Sexual content, Suicide, and Torture

This was phenomenal. What I particularly liked about this, is the fact that we follow our main characters well into their late 50s, early 60s and how their attitudes towards the Kekonese clans, expanding business abroad and what thw best way forward is. There's absolutely heartbreaking parts that end up bringing balc good to the communities.
What stuck with me most, was that we ended the Trilogy like we began. One of the No Peak Greenbones meeting there relatives for Brunch at The Twice Lucky.
Just please go read the Trilogy. Of you're into political intrigues, politics, action packed fighting scenes and keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat twists and turns, the entire Greenbone saga is for you.
Can we please get this adapted to a series?
