Fabby collection and a really interesting look into pregnancy and motherhood! Nothing wrong with the book at all and I love McNish’s poetry, however, I’m not particularly interested/ can’t relate to the experiences of motherhood just now. Would absolutely return to this title if that changes!

Wonderful collection of poetry and prose. I'm a good way down the line from the 0-3 age Hollie writes about, but I remember it well enough. Every birth and family is different, but there's plenty here to resonate with. She particularly nails the anger and frustration I had over nursing in public and gender essentialism, and I'd strongly recommend you watch "Embarrassed" on YouTube if you haven't seen it.

I hope she publishes another volume as the years go by.

Absolute perfection, as always with Hollie McNish. She has touched on so many topics of concern when raising children—your own or not (gender stereotypes, racism, homophobia, teenage mothers, motherhood in other cultures and so much more). This should be essential reading, for literally anyone.

So beautiful, touching and full of raw truth. I'll remember Hollie's story for a very, very long time, and I imagine this book will get a lot of re-reads when my time for parenthood comes. Wholly recommended.
