The Blandings Castle stories were mostly good, if perhaps less fulfilling than the book length works. Unexpectedly, they comprise only half of the book. There's also a Bobbie Wickham story, and then five or so stories about the Mulliners of Hollywood. The former was entertaining. The Mulliner stories prompted the occasional laugh, but lacked the usual Wodehouse charm; they quickly wore out their welcome.

Someday I hope to be identified by my cocktail of choice. "An admirable goal," said a Gin Rickey sitting in the corner.

This book helped me out of a string of 3 -starrers. Stephen Fry's audible narration was good. I don’t think I would have enjoyed the story "Pig-hoo-o-ey" as much if I had read the text version.
I feel lazy to write more. Please read the 4 * and 5 * reviews. I agree with them.

Ah, the excellent wit of the British. I can't wait to dive into more Wodehouse - an extremely "sardinic" read haha. Hats off Sir Pelham, a wonderful master of comedy you are, what!

Wodehouse is always a fun read, and this follows in the tradition. Not the first book I'd recommend to a person interested in getting introduced to the author, but a fun one anyway.

I like the first half, but the stories told by Mr. Mulliner I find supremely boring (the one about the gorilla excepted).
