This book is beautiful. There’s something about it that draws you in and invites you into the rawness that is if i stay.
This was nearly a 5 star, but I felt the story lacked some development and it why shy on the page count. (I WANTED MORE)
I few technical errors here and there but otherwise skillfully crafted.
Definitely one of my favorite reads and would read again! Excellent movie as well - very similar to the book!

This book was well written. I fell in love with the characters and I was able to go into the book. Mia was an exceptional character. She held the book and I enjoyed her because she was not afraid to be herself. Mia was an inspiration. I loved this book and would read it again!

I liked the storyline and the characters. I found certain parts describing the crash a bit more graphic than I was expecting.I wasn't a fan of how the book ended, I would have liked it to continue further. Overall it was a good book, though I'm not quite sure how they are going to make it into a movie.

I really loved this book! I sort of like the idea of an out of body experience while in a coma, kind of like that chick flick Just Like Heaven. Anyways, there are great themes, such as is life worth living in the first place? And what the point of family is and love. There is a romance, but the book isn't about the romance which I really liked. I'm a sucker for romances, but I like trying to find the different insights into humanity. I initially chose this book because it is going to be a movie and the trailer was intriguing.

I would use this in a classroom because it has deeper themes that are not to difficult to identify. I think it would get kids reading as well as help them to identify why this book is important. I would also want to recommended or use it in a class, if I had a lot of people who love music, or have dealt with losing a loved one. I think it is a great book for students to get started with asking deeper questions.

Violence: there is a graphic car accident where the main character stares at the dead body of her parents.

Language: quite a few swear words including f bombs.

Sex: implied, but nothing graphic.

Drugs: wee bit of drinking and partying.
