Ho adorato "La casa sul mare celeste" ma non posso dire lo stesso per questo volume. Ho apprezzato il messaggio che l'autore vuole mandare, ma allo stesso tempo credo che lo abbia trasmesso in una maniera "non conforme" rispetto al suo target di riferimento; oltre a diventare soporifero dopo aver ripetuto gli stessi concetti più e più volte: un continuo filosofeggiare.

While I didn’t adore this book with as much zeal as The House in the Cerulean Sea, I still found these tender, sweet characters with giant hearts to be absolutely lovable. Arthur’s darker side added depth to his character and lent some reality to the trauma that abused and neglected children carry with them for life. Lucy was my favorite, dropping hilarious comments at just the right moment to maintain some levity in what was otherwise a very serious story. If you loved the first book, this one will not disappoint.
