The end is where everything is at. Book ended, just ended with a to be continued mid conversation. The relationship between FMC & MMC is awkward at best. I feel like it borders certain boundaries. Some other relationships within the book are only half told or developed, almost like you jump in mid way & are expected to understand what the dynamics are. I feel like book 2 is going to be where the real story is

First off, this book features a fantastic music playlist that I absolutely adore. It incorporates all three elements I’m passionate about—vampires, witches, and werewolves. The story centers around a vampire who falls in love with a human, and when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s a jaw-dropping plot twist, a few of them! The element that really touched me the most was seeing a South American character. As a South American woman, I felt seen in one of my favorite tropes to follow.
This was an intriguing story, gripping me from the first page. The glimpse into the history of the witches and vampires set up the present day story.
I liked both main characters, Rachel and Andrei. He's an assassin supposed to kill her, but she's a special case - a different kind of being and one he unexpectedly wants to protect not hurt.
The story was twisty, suspenseful, and a little steamy. I enjoyed it and I'm excited for book 2! The ending was a cliffhanger, and I need to know how it plays out.
