This was a light, fun little PNR shifter read for the weekend while I was away. It started off fairly weakly, but I soon enjoyed the danger that was injected into the book a few chapters in. I could definitely read more of these short books! 3.5 stars.

This is a fun quick read while on vacation, at the Doctor's office, or at a picnic table during lunch. Not too much thinking, just a happy warm feeling once you finish the story. I would actually enjoy a story for Zeke (a side character who just begs to be fleshed out and given a mate to pull him out of the lab).
Update: Zeke, and several others, now have stories, but Kobo doesn't have them. Sigh.

wow. that was a wonderful rollercoaster of a book! This was definitely a hit! Full of surprises, and loads of action.

Meh
This book was definitely quick and dirty, but the "quick" felt rushed, the characters lacked depth, & this ebook needs some proof reading done. It wasn't 100% awful, but I have no desire to continue onto the next in the series.

Scarlett has the hots for her VERY human boss. If she acted on her very lustful impulses, she thinks she's kill him! Her inner lioness wants Knox badly and she is having a hard time controlling her.
Knox has held a candle for Scarlett but is friends with her brother and doesn't want cause any animosity. He is aware of her dual nature. When they finally give in to temptation, Scarlett almost loses control and runs from Knox, scared that she could hurt him during any other matings.
But when Knox is attacked and left for dead, she and some others manage to save him, but in the process they add alpha shifter DNA to the concoction and Knox awakens to a whole new Alpha personality.
Scarlett and Know were a great pairing. Knox doesn't just fancy her after becoming a were, he already loved her and now he feels capable of holding onto her! Although Knox does have a girlfriend at the beginning of the book, there is no cheating and it's clear that he was trying to distance himself from Scarlett.
