When I had read half of the book, I was certain that I would give it 4-5 stars. However, the ending dampened this enthusiasm a bit. The characters seem somewhat shallow, and I'm missing something to strongly connect with them. The story was very good, and the slow burn romance fit perfectly, although it weakened a bit towards the end. Overall, a good dark romance book for in-between reads!

I didn't really enjoy the main characters as much as I was led to believe I would. I usually enjoy the miscommunication trope, but this was not executed in a way it was enjoyable for me.
