Henley was right, Easton was giving me whiplash too! For a smart lawyer, he really lacked decisiveness. While I liked their chemistry, it got very frustrating all of the back and forth.

Well Laura can do no wrong with her writing. I loved this book so much.
The tension, the banter, the relationships......it was all just top of its game.
Easton is so obsessed with the boss's daughter, oh is mentee....He keeps inviting her to pickleball and then she gets invited to family dinners. He has his struggles though due to his late girlfriend's passing, but when he starts dealing with his issues and opening up it is really beautiful writing.
Henley is their to prove everyone wrong about her that she is there on her own merits and not due to her father. She is quick witted and I found her pretty entertaining.
I am so excited for the rest of this series.

Finished this amazing book yesterday and I’m still thinking about Henley and Easton (aka The Shark) story it completely captivated me, I couldn’t put it down. I've already started the second book.

Such a great start to a new series! Laura Pavlov is the queen of small town swooning and we get exactly that here with Steal My Heart.
I listened to this book via Advanced Listener Copy and our narrators did a fantastic job. I mean Andi Arndt (duh, amazing) and Connor Crais (another duh) do a great narration.
With these two love birds, we get a workplace romance, lots of pickleball smack talk and steamy spice. Easton is the grumpiest grump and honestly was an a-hole to begin with and our Henley just dishes it right back at him like the queen she is.
I love the plot lines, the twist, the Chadwick family. I can’t wait to see where this series meanders to. I could see some Easter eggs getting dropped and I’m giddy for the rest

What an amazing start into a new series! I am already utterly in love with it!
We met Easton before in the Magnolia Falls series as he is Emerson's brother, and a ruthless lawyer. He is the mentor of Henley, the new addition to the firm he works at, and is trying to make partner. So when Henley starts working with him, he immediately kinda despises as her, as she's the boss's daughter, and he thinks she's privileged. But far from it, and Henley shows him exactly the opposite. She's a strong, fierce and smart woman and doesn't back down from a challenge. He keeps Easton on his toe's and is exactly what he needs! She's the sunshine to his grumpiness and I love this so much!
As always, we do have a lot of family interaction, which is also one of my favorite.

In preparation for book 3 release, I’m reading this and I’m amazed. First book by this author, and absolutely love it. The characters, the storyline, the plot, sooo good! I loved so many of the quotes in this one. I am also a sucker for when the title appears in the book. The banter and flirting was so good as well. I had to binge this is one day because it was too good to put down.
Would I recommend? Definitely. If you love Elsie silver I think you will love this as well.
