This was my first read my Laura Pavlov and she instantly became an auto-read author for me! I loved Henley and Easton so so much. They were perfection. Easton is a big grump but when you learn about all the trauma he’s carrying from his past, it all makes so much sense. I loved how he immediately fell for Henley and wanted to do anything and everything to protect her. Henley was strong and determined, wanting to make her own way in the industry and not having anything handed to her just because she was her father’s daughter. I love how she challenged Easton but was also so patient with him. They were both able to open up with each other, trust each other, and work through all their challenges together.

This is the first book in the new Rosewood River series. I'm already hooked!! I mean I'm not surprised because Laura Pavlov writes the best small town romances. She created once again a family that has me invested. This enemies to lovers workplace romance will have you gobbling up the pages. Henley is being mentored at her father's law firm by the lawyer known as Shark. Easton is one grumpy dude, but Henley doesn't let him get away with the attitude he throws. I love their banter and the scenes with pickleball are some of my favorites. This book has the right amount of heart, heat, and humor. Rosewood River is a town I can't wait to keep revisiting. Easton's brothers and cousin s are awesome. We know Easton's twin sister from the Magnolia Falls series. I also loved Henley's bff Lulu. I hope she gets a story! I couldn't put this book down! You'll find yourself up late at night reading just because you do not want to stop.

I downloaded this book with kindle unlimited when it first came out in January but kept pushing off reading it for some reason, and I truly have no idea why! It was such a good book, and I flew through it! Easton and Henley were so great together and I loved getting to see them work through Easton’s trauma. I love a man that goes to therapy🙌🏻…even if he fights it for a bit.
Laura Pavlov is an amazing author, and I truly can’t get enough of her books💖
