I'm definitely not the right audience for this as it's about a preteen girl and the kind of things girls these days are into, so take my rating with a grain of salt. I liked the magical concepts, and the ending showed Hasani mature quite a bit. She realized that other people have their own foibles and react to her from their own perspective, which was great. Did I love it? No, but also I think I'm no longer interested in books aimed at young readers.
