I can completely understand why Viola Davis won a Grammy for her performance on this audiobook narration. It was wonderful to listen to and I learned a lot. A five star read!!

Viola story is incredible. The book should’ve continued to focus on her life outside of acting. it should’ve been cut down and made less repetitive. There’s so much to learn from her.

An incredibly raw and powerful story from one of the most prominent actors of our generation I feel everyone should hear at some point in their lives. I went into this book liking Viola’s work and am walking away from it with a true admiration for the person she is.

Just incredibly honest and inspiring! I can’t wait to see Viola Davis in her upcoming dramatic film The Woman King, to be released on September 16.

Type of read: Commuter Read.
What made me pick it up: Viola Davis is a force and 'Finding Me' seemed right up my alley.
Overall rating: Absolutely beautiful and raw. I love the way Davis shares her story from the very beginning. There is no subject off limits, there is no shame around conventionally taboo topics, and there is an accessibility to her story that helps you see yourself within the pages. 'Finding Me' was an unexpected tear-jerker with many little nuggets that I've already pulled out and plan to keep close to my heart and use to remind myself of my strength when I feel weak. Davis writes with a passion and honesty that is rare and real . I would absolutely 100% recommend 'Finding Me.'
