Reading an Ali McNamara novel, especially the St Felix series, is like escaping into the most lovely, friendly place imaginable.

Ana is grieving the loss of her best friend, Daisy, who has left her a battered old VW camper van, parked at St Felix in Cornwall. Ana sets off and finds herself staying in the town for a while and a series of signs help her with the grief.

Mysterious Irishman, Malachi, has the task of restoring the van when he finds many unsent postcards from Lou to Frankie, hidden in the seats. Ana enlists the help of Noah, who runs the local antique shop to find out who these people are and they start on a mission, travelling Cornwall.

As with all Ali McNamara's books in this series, the beauty of Cornwall shines through and there is an element of magic, which sets them apart from other contemporary romance fiction.

It’s not often that I give out 5 stars to books (my followers and friends can attest to that) but boy did I like, and fall completely in love, with this book! Such a sweet and light romantic story that was quick and easy to read but held so much meaning. Highly recommended if that’s your cup of tea!

Good. Enjoyed the mystical elements to this story. Loved the descriptions of St Felix made me feel like I was at the seaside. Also enjoyed the mystery of the postcards and how it unfolded. A wonderful story in many ways as it show the power of both romantic relationships and friendships.
