I had no idea there was an Inspector Gamache novella! I found this in my library's digital library and thought it was the next book in the series until I got it and the copyright is 2010. This was a fun, quick read. The full length novels are much better, but this was worth reading.

Brief, but up to standards

This novella finds Gamache in Three Pines, investigating a suspicious death. We don't see or usual cast of characters, but a few of his colleagues and a few of the town regulars, though most of the action takes place at the new Inn & Spa, where a guest has been found hanged. The mystery was well-paced and not out of the blue, but not obvious.
