Be warned - this is only part 1 of 2, so don't expect a HEA. That said, I absolutely loved this book! It was everything that I needed right now. Two kickass characters, secret identities, action, sexy times, fun. Think Mr & Mrs Smith but more fun. Can't wait for the conclusion.

Histoire : 3/5

Parce qu'à la fin du livre c'est clair que l'auteure veut nous faire comprendre qu'ils s'aiment mais honnêtement j'y crois pas, they clearly care about each other but to me they didn't share enough or spend enough time together for it to be love. It feels a little insta love but since it's a duet I'll wait and see if the story roundup nicely. For now I'm a bit disappointed, the story had so much potential.

I adored this book and Lyra & Marcus. I knew this was a duet but it still didn’t prepare me for the cliffhanger. Can’t wait for book 2!

Lyra and Marcus are soo alike but neither of them know it due to having to hide who they really are from each other. There are plenty of laughs, frustrations, meddling people as well as an undeniable attraction, danger and a close encounter that leaves you sucking in your breath and thinking how could you!!! I can not wait for the next book as I so so so so need to know what happens next!!!!

I can’t really review this with that cliffhanger! Really glad I can dive into the second book immediately

disclaimer if you’ve read other reviews by me and are noticing a pattern: You’re correct that I don’t really give starred reviews because I don’t like leaving them. Most often, I will only leave them if I vehemently despised a book.

I enjoy most books for what they are, & I extract lessons from them all. Everyone’s reading experiences are subjective, so I hope my reviews provide enough information to let you know if a book is for you or not, regardless if I add stars or not.

This was an absolute blast. I am coming to love romantic suspense/adventure more and more, and Nana Malone executes this so well in this book! The leads are neighbors, who are both spys/assassins of rival organizations, but they don’t know about the other’s occupation 😂  the set up and premise is pure gold!

The humor is so good, I was giggling and having a fantastic time listening to the audiobook on Kobo. The narrators did a nice job & I loved the dual POVs!

This is my first book by Nana Malone & it will not be my last. What a goofy, fun, sexy time!

The steam is probably 2/5 🌶️
