3.5 stars. I read this one for one of my book clubs (and yes we were clearly drinking when we picked this one). The beginning is painful, dreadful, insert negative descriptor here, and you will absolutely want to DNF. But......it does get so much better. I won't say this is the best holiday read, but I did appreciate the second half and was glad I stuck it out.
