Holiday Hoax

3.81 AVERAGE

I really loved this book up until the 3rd act breakup and the reconciliation. I usually don’t have anything against 3rd act breakups, but this one didn’t feel necessary. There was conflict throughout the entire book, so adding in this insanely abrupt breakup kind of ruined the build up. When it came to the “HEA,” it was rushed and felt kind of forced. It wasN’t a bad book, I just wasn’t happy with how the ending played out.

It had its moment, but was overall bland.
I didn’t like either main character and it was all very messy.

A holiday romance, marriage of convenience and fake dating.

This book pulled me out of my reading slump.

It was cheesy, it was fun, and it felt like reading a spicy hallmark Christmas movie. I love a good fake dating/marriage of convenience story and this was just the right book at the right time for me.

This book isn't anything unique or groundbreaking, but it did exactly what I wanted. It took me away from reality for a few hours and made me happy.

Did everything in this book make sense? No. Was Sebastian toxic and not in a good way? Yes. Do I think Georgia and Sebastian will have a long and happy marriage? Not necessarily. None of that matter to me while reading this. I had a fabulous time. I giggled while kicking my feet, I physically felt pain in my chest multiple times, and I even shed a tear or two.
