This book was a great sequel to the first book and picked up right where the previous book left off. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance. This was so different from what I have read and it was refreshing.
Piper is in the process of grieving the loss of her grandmother who she really was just getting to know. Someone killed her and they are still out there ...
Since her grandmothers death, she is prepping herself to fully become the White Raven on her 18th birthday which is only a couple of days away. She decides to ship her brother off back home so she can keep him safe. Surprise, surprise, Parker comes to visit. When they all go out for her birthday, Piper finally finds out who killed Rose and she gets her vengeance. However, it seems to be part of a bigger plan, one that no one knows yet.
Without giving away too much, a main character dies which at first you think ok this will be easier. Cant wait to see what the next and final book to this series holds. I am ready for the conclusions, but sad to see the series end as well.

It was okay.

Black Crow was one of those books that had me intrigued about a certain character. In the first book, White Raven, I was wondering what one character, Zander, was up to. It seemed like he was disappearing a lot so I when I got this book - I knew who to look out for.

When it came to the awful love triangle (ish) in this book, I just didn't care. Piper and Zane had chemistry and were basically each other's true love. However, Piper and Zander were betrothed to one another. It didn't help that Zane and Zander were brothers either...

I liked every one equally but didn't care if anyone ended up together. At one point, I definitely stopped caring - which wasn't hard for me to do. Besides the little romance, this book did have some drama and action in it. It was also interesting to see people from Piper's previous past (like before she moved to this new town) come back into her life. Whether they were dead or alive - it made everything a bit more interesting.

Overall, it was interesting in some parts. I was annoyed in others. Some deaths were sad to me.. but the ending was eh - alright. It didn't really wow me.. but that doesn't mean I wont read the next one just to see what the heck this town, and characters, are going to throw my way.

I loved this book even more than the first one- they get better and better! An expected death had me almost in tears and I am eagerly waiting to get the next book

Zane and Piper literally are two of my favorite characters. Their banter and the way they hate to love each other is everything. Piper is now the White Raven and has so much more responsibility and so many more challenges she had to face in this book and it just keeps getting better and better. The reapers are trying to keep the balance but the hallows seem to be everywhere. Piper is finally learning her powers and becoming stronger and stronger in her new role as White Raven. I read this book in one day and thoroughly enjoyed it and am eager to start the last book in this series. The ending of this book was shocking to say the least and I can't wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend this series!

2.5 because Im feeling the holiday spirit and want to be good. Because still a big meh.

The writing improved a little bit, it’s not as much over the place as it was, but it’s still a lot. The characters change behaviours and opinions in less the a second it makes me crazy.

*SPOILER*
And killing zander like was not fair for the character, although predictable

Sooooooo good

I was immediately sucked into this second book of the series and read it in a day. Some predictable outcomes with more twists and turns leading to complete surprises. A must read!

I have been provided with a copy of Black Crow by the author for an impartial review. This is the second book in The Raven Trilogy and it picks up right where we left off in the first book of the series White Raven. I absolutely love this series it just drags me into its world and doesn’t want to let me go. This book just had my emotions all over the place. I just got sucked into the characters lives and I can’t wait to read the conclusion of this series.
