That was very silly but I really enjoyed it. The plot was slim, but the details were hilarious.
This was a light popcorn book, set in modern day but with a sci-fi twist, very similar to Scalzi's last novel, [b:The Kaiju Preservation Society|57693406|The Kaiju Preservation Society|John Scalzi|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1624897234l/57693406._SY75_.jpg|90049719]. This one in particular had me thinking Scalzi was channeling [a:Christopher Moore|16218|Christopher Moore|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1460399391p2/16218.jpg]. Both books were well worth the read, but neither had the staying power of some of Scalzi's other works in the sense that I doubt I'll remember much of the plot in a year from now, or want to reread them.

Laid back humorous read, the writing pulls you in and the unbelievable “villain-y” is written so matter of factly. Not a deep read but intelligent humor. Very much recommend:)
