I'll be forever mad that we failed to recognize the boldness and intelligence of this woman.

The complimentary biography of Warren shows her as a dreamer and planner from her childhood. From her early devotion to teaching, to her law career, and then dealing with bankruptcy and financial issues, and then politics, the pencil? drawings show her as energetic, driven, and unfazed by obstacles. I had forgotten how brief her political career was, and how long ago she went to college.

Obviously this book would be even more relevant if she had won the nomination, but it's still a biography of a successful person who has made a difference in the world. The backmatter includes a short bibliography, a timeline, and an author's note explaining how much she enjoyed working with Warren but also pointing out that she's not perfect and perfection is not actually the baseline.
