I was somewhat skeptical coming into reading this book. I had heard great things about it, how it changed perspectives for many people, but I have read other highly recommended spiritual-like books and been disappointed. I was especially wondering if this book would be more of a self-promotion, like I see many others of this nature, where the author gives anecdotes of fantastic results but they have only been achieved because of some premium retreat or the like that the author offers.
While the author does speak on the experiences of his clients, it does not come off as him marketing his services, it felt purely academic. This, I felt, gave him far more credibility. Further than this, I felt exactly what others had when reading this—a complete shift in perspective on the afterlife.
I always felt some form of conflict in my beliefs on the afterlife, and the way that it was presented in this book felt like it answered everything I was unsure of. It also made me feel so much more understanding of other people, and I have now more intentionally carried with me the fact that everyone has something they are working on improving in this life. Through this I have felt myself giving others more grace and taking the time to understand them.
It has also deepened my curiosity in past lives, reincarnation, and souls in general and I truly look forward to what this book has opened in me. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone, but certainly for folks who may be curious about the afterlife!

Listened to the book on tape, great info but very long so was a tough choice for my first audiobook. Took some time to get into in regards to the flow but once I did it was fascinating.
