Dexter and his Dark Passenger are reunited and off to solve another crime.
Even with the Passenger we see a whole new human side of him. One might even say that he becomes emotional which leads to rash and stupid actions.
After Dexter in the Dark this fourth book in the series is back to the old style and charm and again a really fun read, although dark and macabre at times.
I liked the writing style and humour but the plot was at times unoriginal with the ending having too many parallels to that of the last book and feeling rushed. I also missed Deborah and her changing her mind about Dexter after getting stabbed seemed very "Deus ex machina" to me.
If you were put off by Dexter in the Dark, this one is much more in the spirit of the first two books and I can definitely recommend it.
