This was so fluffy I loved it

Cute little Christmas-y story, plus a teaser of Invaded, book 2 in the Alienated series.

I loooooved it but way too short! Just like their time together D;

"Until Midnight" by Melissa Landers is a delightful and engaging novella set in the world of the "Alienated" series. This companion story provides readers with a charming glimpse into the lives of the beloved characters from the main series, offering a satisfying extension to the Alienated universe.

The novella takes place after the events of "Alienated" and serves as a bridge between the first and second books in the series. It primarily focuses on the romantic relationship between Aelyx and Cara, allowing readers to further explore their dynamic and witness the growth of their connection.

Melissa Landers' writing style remains consistent with the main series, offering a light and enjoyable reading experience. The novella retains the witty banter, endearing moments, and palpable chemistry between the characters that fans of the series have come to appreciate. The pacing is well-balanced, creating a smooth flow to the narrative and allowing readers to quickly become immersed in the story.

One of the strengths of "Until Midnight" is the depth it adds to the characters and their relationship. Aelyx and Cara continue to evolve and face new challenges, both individually and as a couple. The novella delves into their insecurities, aspirations, and the complexities of navigating an intergalactic romance. Their interactions are heartwarming, and it is satisfying to see their bond strengthen amidst the obstacles they face.

It expands on the conflicts and tensions between Earth and L'eihr, providing a deeper understanding of the societal dynamics and the ramifications of the alliance between the two species.

While "Until Midnight" is an enjoyable addition to the Alienated series, it is important to note that it is a novella and thus shorter in length. As a result, some readers may find themselves wanting more, as the story provides a relatively brief snapshot of the characters' lives. However, within its limited scope, the novella effectively delivers a satisfying continuation of the story and leaves readers eager to explore what lies ahead.

In conclusion, "Until Midnight" is a charming and engaging novella that fans of the "Alienated" series will appreciate. Melissa Landers successfully expands upon the world and characters she has created, offering a delightful continuation of Aelyx and Cara's story. If you enjoyed the main series and are looking for a sweet and enjoyable interlude with the characters you love, this four-star novella is worth picking up. Prepare to be enchanted by the further adventures of Aelyx and Cara as they navigate the complexities of their interplanetary romance.

This was super cute! My problem with it was the fact that it could take place in almost any series that involved alien/Earth encounters. It didn't tie me enough to what came before, or really hint at what will come after. Still, it made me smile and laugh, and that's exactly what I was looking for today.

It was a cute fluffy little story. I really liked it.

I loved how Aelyx was so ignorant about Christmas. Can't wait for Invaded!

This was so short I didn't even realize! It had about 100 pages of alienated in it but put this was a lovely treat! I can't wait for the third book to come out!

So amazing and adorable!! Bring on invaded!!

Very cute. Made me want to get back into this world and these characters.
