Not sure I liked this one as much as the other 4. I did really enjoy reading this one issue by issue. :)
This was everything I expected! I loved it so much but it ends on a major cliffhanger, how can I wait that long for the next volume???
Rating: 4/5
I'm just going to keep saying the same thing every time I finish another novel in this series: shit is getting real.
We're progressing more and more into the storyline and I cannot wait to see how everything comes together and how this series ends. I'm also really excited to see Hazel in her kindergarten class, I think it's going to be a nice addition to what we've been getting in this story.

Yes, this is the kind of Saga story I like. When it's about family, and revenge, and sacrifice, and complication.
I have to say, I'm sure it's part of the point, but Hazel's narration really adds so much to the story. She doesn't give anything away, but she hints at so much that the reader knows is still to come.
There was more pain and loss in this one than I was anticipating. Saga has a knack for doing something that Game of Thrones also does -- taking away beloved characters (okay, and even some not-so-beloved characters) away in the blink of an eye. The scene with the dragon was particularly difficult -- I think I gasped while reading, when I saw a character who had quickly become one of my favorites brought to an untimely end.
I liked that there was more of a theme that brought this volume together, something I felt like the last was lacking. And I am really loving the way bonds are forming and dispersing between characters. Also, the reunion at the end (while bittersweet), was so very touching, and brought a lot of satisfaction.
Now, to wait for Volume 6 to be returned, so I can continue!

I love the illustrations but I'm not that interested in the story any more...
I liked how this book made me question who I like as characters. Characters I was rooting for, I questioned. And the characters I typically were irritated with, I understood more.
Graphics are still phenomenal. And I am still stressed.

Amazing, as usual. Though I sometimes forget exactly what happened in the previous volumes, I'm still blown away by the art and storytelling, almost so it doesn't matter what happened before. I get sucked in every single time.
Too much fighting, and the killing off of major characters is starting to feel a little cheap/GRRMy.
And now again I wait.
