Jót tett ez a kis szünet Mary Olivertől, mert így ismét tudtam értékelni a mentalitását. Expliciten megjelenik benne a gyász, de mégsem mondanám, hogy ez az uralkodó motívum. Viszont valószínűleg az is egy motiváció volt Oliver számára a hitélete felé, ami (továbbra is) a természetben, Isten teremtményeiben tetőzik. Ebben a kötetben többször jelenik meg Isten megszólítottként, amit az eddigi kötetekben nem tapasztaltam Volt olyan vers, ami a 145. zsoltárhoz kapcsolódott, egy másik a Gecsemáné kertről szólt vagy a virágvasárnapi szamárról. Ebbe még sosem gondoltam bele, a bibliai történetekbe a természet szempontjából. Nagyon békés képek. Mary Oliver pedig továbbra is kedvenc.

In this book the author is journeying through grief so the poems are more explicitly religious than earlier poems of hers. Mary Oliver writes such beautiful poetry and it will appeal to both readers who are familiar with poetry and to those not familiar, no easy feat. Five stars.
