Best novella I've ever read. Action packed from start to finish, with wonderful character development and an extremely engaging story. Quite the feat for a little 184 page book!

I loveeeeee Valtara and this novella gave me so much insights into Dayne and why he is the way he is. LOVEDDDDDD BELINA IN THIS! The banter and their bond means so much to me 🥹🥹

this novella was weirdly cozy (crazy I know) I just love side adventures and excursions from the main story .

An easy 5 stars. One of the best novellas I’ve ever read. This is my first time reading The Exile ahead of Of War and Ruin, and I loved it. The pacing, characterisation, and the depth of some of the character conversations was all so tight. It covers the backstory to one of my favourite new characters introduced in Of Darkness and Light. I don’t want to write any spoilers here - just give it a go! The Bound and the Broken is so far an incredible experience. Onto Book 3!

And just like that, Ryan Cahill SUCKS ME BACK IN BABY. This was a really great little story. Dayne is an awesome character, and it’s so fun watching the entire plot line of the Bound and Broken unfold with each book. Lots of great characters here, more back stories, more action. Just a great time all around.

In the Exile is a Novella in the Bound in the Broken series by Ryan Cahill, we get the backstory on Dayne Arterras and what happened to send him into exile from his home and family.

The Exile is action-packed, emotional, and engaging. I am amazed at how much Ryan Cahill fits into such a short book. Dayne first appears in Of Darkness and Light, the second book in the series and he definitely leaves an impression on you, in a good way.

Dayne’s family is betrayed by a friend and he is determined to get vengeance on those that took everything from him.

I loved getting the backstory on Dayne and seeing the events that made him into the person he became in Of Darkness and Light. Dayne has moved up the ranks into one of my favorite characters in the series. I also liked seeing other familiar characters from earlier books and their interactions with Dayne.
