(+ + ) Loved the teeny tiny bits of humor in it, they made me chuckle

( + ) Holly Black‘s ability to write plot and twists in a really good way, sometimes you see them coming, but then smtgh about them is still different from what you think. Then, at other times, the twist comes out of the blue. I also love how important information keeps coming back at a later time; shows that everything is written with intention and purpose.

( + - ) I really don‘t know how to put this but Wren annoyed the living shit out of me for a big part of the book

( - ) The book felt a but slow and tedious to read through at certain parts, especially the first half. Took me a while to read the book 


SPOILERS:

I loved what they did with Madocs character at the end, gave him some kindness even though we were technically supposed to hate him by the events of the main series. I was absolutely heartbroken at The Ghosts fate. He used to be my favorite character in the main series and seeing him end up like this…not alive not dead just broke my heart and I would‘ve liked a different outcome for him. Didn‘t really see the twist on Randalin happening either.
