This was not what I was expecting. It read more like a Hallmark show but with cryptid sex included. Personally not my cup of tea but had it been a fade to black style I probably would have given it 4 stars.

It’s insane to me that my main complaint is that this book is boring, when the entire premise is the most fun thing ever???? The writing is weak, the characters are weak, the plot just kind of meandered but not in a way that led to character arcs or plot developments, everyone made the most insane decisions, and no one seemed to react in a way that made sense????? Like, every time I’d read a new page I just kept getting angrier and I should not be getting mad at a book where a girl f**ks Mothman in the woods!

This was a cute book. I have to admit I liked it more than I thought I would. It’s really hit or miss if I’ll like a creature romance.
Exactly what you think it is, and I loved every cheesy, cryptid-y, not fully explained or wrapped up moment of it!! The influencer things at some points got a tad bit too eye roll-y, but it all clicks into place by the end. A fluffy confection with some good ol monster love in the middle!
