What a heart-wrenching story. Jones excels at creating an ambiance that captures the murky feeling of dreaming and sleepwalking. The grief almost felt tangible, like I could reach through the screen and touch it.

The story is more metaphorical and vague, but I preferred it that way. Jones manages to create a very unique, poignant voice for our protagonist.

I had to read this for school and UGH it’s so good. PERFECT blend of psychology and English in my opinion. Something I never would’ve even thought to pick up but WOW just so spooky and raw and real and SAD and so so so good

Thought I would like it more than I actually did, but it had some very beautiful and haunting passages. I may have to read it again to actually understand it, but I am eager to read more of Mr. Jones' work.

I didn't hate it or love it, but I'm glad it introduced me to a Native American author as I had never read a novel by a Native American person before.

A ghost story on the surface, but truly an exploration of generational traumas. A quick novella that is punchy and able to destroy you
